Coloma is a Cologne, Germany-based English duo of vocalist Rob Taylor and producer Alex Paulick that falls into a continuum that includes Roxy Music, ABC, Soft Cell, and the Blue Nile; although their songs are neither as flamboyant nor as ornate as their predecessors' material. Coloma signed with Mathias Schaffhäuser's Ware label for their debut album, 2002's Silverware.
They returned the following year with "Finery", recorded at Conny Plank's studio and also released the album on the Ware label. Two years later, they released the Dovetail on Klein records, featuring a horn section and several other guest instrumentalists. Their fourth album "Love`s Recurring Dream" will be released in February 2009 on Italic.
Outside of the group, Taylor lent his voice to Schaffhäuser's cover of Icehouse's "Hey Little Girl", and Paulick has played bass in the band Kreidler.
